Inntel's Charity of the Year

Our Charity Contributions in 2024

Each year, we partner with different charities to support their incredible work. We host a range of events throughout the year to raise vital funds and help spread awareness for the causes.

How do we select our charities for the year? We simply let our people choose! Each year at Inntel’s Employee Recognition Awards, a range of awards including the Employee of the Year gets announced. The winner of this award is asked to nominate a charity, and work alongside our social committee to drive fundraising initiatives to help maximise donations.

2024 Round-Up:

Before we announce our new charity of the year, let’s recap on 2024, an incredible year raising money for Farleigh Hospice alongside other charities. Farleigh Hospice provides care and support to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across mid-Essex,.

Throughout 2024, Inntel hosted and supported a range of activities to help raise money for the charity. Our most successful fundraising initiatives were our Christmas Hampers and Silent Auction. The hampers were put together by each department, overflowing with incredible goodies, and our staff bought raffle tickets in hope of winning one. Our silent auction featured incredible prizes like afternoon tea for two and overnight hotel stays. Combined, an incredible £880 was raised!

”Farleigh Hospice would like to express our sincere thanks to Inntel for making us their 2024 charity of the year. The amazing donation of £5,000 will help us to continue providing specialist palliative and end of life care to adults affected by life-limiting illnesses in mid Essex. As well as easing their pain and bringing comfort, we help them to have a good quality of life and to do the things that matter most to them with the time they have left. We also support their families and carers and help bereaved children and adults.

We are very grateful that Inntel will be supporting Farleigh again this year and look forward to working with them throughout 2025.”

Jacqui Shannon

Fundraising Partnerships Officer, Farleigh Hospice

As well as fundraising for our charity of the year, our teams  helped raise money for other amazing charities, like Movember and MS-UK. In April, our very own Douglas O’Neil and Daniel Mitchell completed the London Marathon in support of MS-UK, a charity helping those affected by multiple sclerosis. Their efforts contributed to the nearly £300,000 raised by runners. Later on in the year, eight members from the Inntel Team took on the challenge of walking or running over 60km throughout the month of November to help raise awareness of men’s mental health issues. In total, they covered over 900km were covered and £430 was donated.

What 2025 has in store:

This January, our annual Inntel Awards Evening reflected on the incredible performance of our employees. Employee of the Year was awarded to Business Travel Consultant, Emma Goddard.  Emma chose to continue supporting Farleigh Hospice, a charity close to Emma’s heart due to the incredible support they offered to a close friend of hers. Throughout 2025, we will be continuing our fundraising activities, hopefully raising even more!
