Talk to an Inntel expert
Business travel is a significant source of carbon emissions for many organisations, which is why we are dedicated to creating solutions to best support our clients in reducing them. Here are some of the key ways we support sustainability as business travel providers, both for our clients and within our own company.
As business travel providers, Inntel’s mission is to help organisations travel and meet better and smarter. Our specialists work with clients to shape their travel policies and enhance compliance at every step. Through our consultative approach we can help reduce needless business travel and meetings in line with your sustainability objectives and support with alternative options, such as virtual solutions, sustainable meetings or lower carbon modes of transport.
The Inntel Sustainable Travel Hub features ESG policies from our most frequently used hotels, venues, airlines, airports and rail operators. As part of our commitment to reducing emissions from business travel and meetings, we’ve created this hub as an easy-to-use resource for checking the environmental impact of your travel and venue choices. Here, you’ll find details on sustainable policies, missions, and accreditations from all our key suppliers and partners. The Sustainable Travel Hub is continually updated as suppliers intensify their sustainability efforts, helping you make more sustainable decisions for future business trips.
As leading business travel providers, we offer a suite of software delivering multiple solutions for virtual and hybrid events and real-time travel management. For example, in our online booking tool, LOGiC Travel, bookers are advised of the CO2e impact of their journey at point of sale and offered a lower impact alternative when available. Our LOGiC Meetings portal highlights venues with sustainability accreditations. And LOGiC Intelligence provides direct and immediate access to your data in a dynamic dashboard format to track spend, CO2e usage, traveller trends and more.
With an increasing number of sustainability accreditations, it can be difficult to know which hold the most value for your specific requirements. To help navigate this, our experts have developed a handy guide featuring 14 of the travel and events industry’s leading ESG accreditations. This guide is regularly reviewed and updated to help our clients make informed decisions when selecting venues for conferences, meetings, and events.
We offer a portfolio of carbon calculators for events, such as Trace, including optional project management for measuring and reducing the CO2e output. These solutions help boost efficiency and assist our clients in reaching their sustainability goals. After all, you can’t reduce what you don’t measure.
Along with exploring reduction methods, we offer clients offsetting solutions to help minimise their carbon footprint. We’ve partnered with Trees4Travel and Trees4Events to offer services for measuring and offsetting CO2 emissions from business travel, accommodation, and meetings.
In addition to crystal-clear data insights from our software and partners, our full-time ESG Executive is on hand to offer carbon reduction expertise. This service includes a detailed breakdown of your carbon data along with actionable recommendations to help clients reduce the environmental impact of corporate travel and events.
For businesses not sure where to start with reducing CO2e emissions as a result of external meetings and events, our experts have created a Sustainable Meetings & Events Checklist. It’s full of advice on what you can do to reduce the carbon impact of your meetings and events – from selecting the catering options with the lowest carbon footprint to signage and venue choice. This is available to download at the bottom of our ESG page.
We are transparent about our own carbon footprint as a business and are working hard to reduce our environmental impact and achieve our net zero goal. That’s why we’ve set SBTi-approved targets for our carbon reduction plan, which can be viewed on our ESG page. As part of the plan, in 2024 we installed solar panels and electric vehicle charging points at our headquarters.
We’re proud to be one of the first TMCs in the UK to be a certified B Corporation! This underscores our commitment to sustainability and going beyond business norms. Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab to meet top standards of social and environmental impact. You can check out our B Corp profile here.
By adopting these sustainable practices, we’re working towards a greener future for business travel and meetings, for both our clients and in our own operations.
