Talk to an Inntel expert
As part of our commitment to giving back, every year, we partner with different charities to help raise vital funds to support them in doing their incredible work.
How do we choose which charities to donate to? We let our people decide. At our annual Inntel employee recognition awards, we ask our Employee of the Year to nominate a charity. They will then spearhead fundraising efforts throughout the year with the help of our Social Team to maximise donations to their chosen charity.
Last year, we had not one but two Employees of the Year! So, this meant we contributed to two fantastic charities. Natasha Dawson, Client Relationship Executive at Inntel selected The Brain Tumour Charity. While Chloe Brown, our Client Reconciliation Support Manager, chose a local charity, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The Brain Tumour Charity is committed to saving and improving lives. It is there for everyone affected by a brain tumour to provide support, information, and guidance every step of the way. The charity’s key goals are to double the survival rate and halve the harm that brain tumours have on quality of life. It is the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally.
Through office fundraising events, like bake sales, summer picnics, clothes swaps and more throughout last year, we are proud to have raised a total of £2,053 to contribute to The Brain Tumour Charity.
Each supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. The charity delivers a wide range of services, from psychological and bereavement support to symptom management and short break care.
Thanks to donations from Inntel’s staff, through bake sales and other initiatives, we raised a total of £2,053 for EACH. Hannah Forbester from the charity said:
“With your support, we will be able to reach more families across East Anglia when they need us the most. We honestly cannot thank you enough for your kindness because without people like you our vital work would not be possible.”
Our people don’t only fundraise and donate to great causes like this; they also give up their time for good causes. From getting together to do a local beach clean-up, where we collected a whopping 34kg of rubbish, to spending a volunteering day with Autism Anglia painting and decorating the interiors of Doucecroft School, Team Inntel is happy to help.
All our people get a day off every year to volunteer for a charity of their choice. It’s all part of our commitment to help create a positive impact on our local community and partner with worthwhile causes. Watch this space for more news on how we spend our volunteering days and other great charities we are supporting.
